I'm on El Al flying back from Israel - wireless broadband on board - guy next to us is chatting on Skype!

Anyway, Skodas are everywere in Israel. Of the three taxis I used, the first was a Superb (with rear curtains - nice!), the next was an Octy 2 and the third was an Octy 1. The Octy 2 owner couldn't help but tell us how great Skuds are (pushing on an open door mate).

Lodas of Fabias as well. I'd say the majority of Taxis and police cars are skodas as are loads of private cars, must be one of the biggest marques out there.

Mybe it has something to do with Skodas being good value and there being 100% tax on new cars in Israel - ouch!
