Torneu Cover - Estate

Featured Replies

My torneu cover is only "clicking" into one side of the runners which means it immediatly retracts.

This means I am unable to hide anything in the boot.

Anyone else aware of this problem ?

The cars only 6 weeks old, and 1,000 miles in.

I would be wary of "hiding things" in an estate. According to threads on the honestjohn website the yobs assume that any estate with the cover over is "hiding something" and break in to steal it

The logic being that estate drivers don't bother to pull it back normally as it is too much hassle.

If you have the variable floor put things under that, not visible, but cover open so logically nothing worth stealing inside?

Thats a good point.. I'll bear it in mind.

However the point still stands - its broke !

I also prefer the have the cover closed as i thing it looks better :)

It may not be broken, just make sure that it is runinng in both the grooves, pull it all the way out and then make sure it is in the slots for it, I have been carrying a lot of stuff recently and mine did the same and I fixed it this way.

Mine wouldn't click in place the other day, but after trying a couple of times it was fine. One side had come out of its runner but it was easy enough to get back in place.

I have had it sorted at the dealership - they replaced one of the plastic catches at the one side

I expect it quietens down the ride as well with it closed?

same happened to mine ray but would you believe it was delivered like that from the dealership when i bought it second hand. so much for the thorough check.
