security question

Featured Replies

just a quickie if some **** pop my drivers window reaches in and presses my unlock button does the whole car unlock including boot

i got an octy rs if this helps

:) :)

Good question, i'd like to know too

I'd assume that if it's deadlocked (ie pressed lock button on keyfob once, not twice) then that unlock button on the door won't do anything at all. Can't see the point of fitting deadlocks if there's a button that'll just unlock the car anyway.

Try it by locking it with the window open & reaching in. I would, but it's raining too hard right now!

Or just sit in the car and lock it with the remote?

i was gonna try that when i left work just thought someone may know

IIRC I've tried this on my lunch one day. If you're in the car and lock it using the keyfob once (so the deadlocks engage) then the interior locking button doesn't work.

:iagree: :iagree: :iagree:

Tried and tested - one of the first things I did when I got mine ;)

If the door LED flashes the deadlocks are on, and the doors cannot be opened from inside.
