this is no criticism on you, but I have to say I'm not a fan of putting the indicator lights nearer the middle of the car than the headlights.

I always think they should be as far towards the outer edges of the car as possible.

Your drawings are great, by the way.

used a bit of dodge tool, and a lense flair in the render options:)

Hi Leon. It's strange that your cars seem to have faces - an earlier one almost aggressive, the most recent a happy one. Do you see that as well?

When you draw all the windows without pillars, is that a good idea? I'm thinking that as pillars are intrinsically vertical, would they not distort the flow of the smooth forward-sweepingness of your usual designs, so should be taken account of in the initial thinking?

I'm curious what your design for a "Smart" car 10 years on would look like.

Re indicator lights, it often gets to me that you can't see them in the brightness of the headlights. I wouldn't mind seeing an extra set at roof level, a bit like you get an extra higher brake light on most cars now. I guess safety as well as "green" in the future could well be a "seller".

Best regards

Mo

Absolute class, i cant draw to save my life lol!

just different things i look at and take on board to creat different faces! i havent noticed really but i see where your coming from! from what i've herd a pillars are constantly being pushed forward and therefore dashboards becoming more deeper, so a swept windscreen wouldnt be a big issue, the only things is that theres only so thick you can have a thick a pillar before you have a massive blind spot.... yeah the 3rd level indicators have crossed my mind in the past just never really thought about it! its a good point!:)

my design for a smart car in 10 years time.... ill give it a go!

I'm glad you as a designer recognise that, as I do seem often to be dodging backwards and forwards to avoid the blind spot from the a-pillar on my Fabia. That said, if it's a "ten years on" project, maybe they will have developed some form of see-through resin or mirrored edges (whatever) for a-pillars to eliminate that problem :holmes:

PS I can't draw for toffee either :o
