K04 onto Octy mk1 vRS

Featured Replies

Contemplating this, my undrestanding is that as far as hardware is concerned you need S3/TT/LCR Manifold

K04 off either of these

TIP from either of the above

Downpipe and Cat from LCR ( as 2WD)

Oil line and water lines from the above

TT injectors

S3/TT Maf and Airbox

....REMAP

anything I have missed?

the Turbo and Mani being the expensive bits which I can source at a v good price, anyone done this yet who could offer advice.

I am not really after advice on alternatives i.e GTX eliminators etc at this point just relating to putting a K04 on, I know what it will go to etc

Dave

Don't forget the boost pipework which will have to be custom to connect up to your existing IC etc.. or if you want to use the standard setup from a K04 car then you will also need the intake manifold.

Eddy,

where does the k04 boost outlet exit, is it top or bottom?

Or Just Get A K04-001

Agreed, K04 turbo but uses all the mountings, pipe work etc of the K03. Turbo dynamics do a hybrid one thats opened out and flowed.

wonder if thats any good....

i kn ow you said you don't want to hear it but i personally don't see the point unless you are getting the parts for next to nothing.

This is one of the possibilities, TD do a MD 350 which is supposed to be fgood for 270+ but in a K03 Housing, you saying that you have experience with the TurboDynamics K03/K04 Hybrid, was is any good?

out of interest whats the cost of the K04 hybrid units?

Turbo dyanamics one is

i know a place that will supply, fit and map an ATP eliminator GT2X kit for £1900 :)

you get to keep your old bits to sell on too ;)

just make sure you drop in to see me after the work mate as i fancy a demo drive :D

moi? who said i was going up?

Its worth travelling if you get what you want.

i.e bang for buck.

forgot to say that £1900 was +injectors and doesn't inlude things like CAI, FMIC or downpipe.

What does it include? Turbo? Manifold? TIP? Larger MAF? Remap? Obviously I don't plan on getting one myself but do have an interest in these things.

turbo, it uses the standard manifold and down pipe, comes with adapters for intake so uses standard intake tract so basically includes turbo+the bits like bolts and gaskets to fit it then a remap to make the best of it from what i have bee told.

Not a bad option if that's your max budget but you're starting with quite a compromised setup which should you wish to upgrade in future will be quite limiting. I think the better option although double the price would be a base IHI or GT setup which would include Manifold, downpipe, intake, MAF, Injectors fuel pump, remap and give ITRO 320bhp with much greater potential for upgrade.
