"Whatever's on special offer".

Any brand should be OK, the key is to ensure the concentration is correct so it doesn't freeze. Skoda's own screenwash is apparently designed to be used with the "fanjet" washers but I've never really noticed much difference.

Rob.

I'd agree with what Rob says - used all sorts and never had a problem, although I did notice the Skoda one can "go off" if the car is left standing for a week or so :(

Chris

It's just screen wash.

Skoda screenwash................................for the smell :D

Fairy liquid

Fairy liquid

Will strip all that lovely wax off that you have spent hours applying;)

And the salt in it will also catalyse the rusting process on any exposed steel ;) Smells nice though :D

Poundland 2 litres a Quid, very potent, freshens the inside of your car to its that powerfull, cleans the windows aswell.

But again "whatever is on offer"

Skoda for me all the way.

I like it and it ensure's your warranty on the system remains intact :D

never had a problem with the AUTOGLYM stuff i get for free from work

Because they are VAG Fan jets, they should only have VAG fluid through them or they will bung up eventually and wont be covered by the warranty. Get the VAG stuff from the Skoda dealer or at a VW dealer

I'd second that.

Found the Autoglym screenwash to be very effective in summer having just finished using their Summer screenwash, aptly named cos its designed to remove flies and bugs but has nothing in it to prevent it freezing, as you don't need it in summer.

AG's All Seasons stuff when neat doesn't freeze unless down to -50C. Will use it in 1 to 4 concentration when the cold comes - protection from freezing down to -8C.

Has anyone tried the screenwash from Mopar - used in the USA to prevent freezing to -60C - not that it gets near that here in the UK?

didn't know there was 2 different types of Autoglym screenwash , so just checked what i had been using , all season on the bottle, good stuff , washer bottle never frozen , washer pipes never come apart at joints and no problems with the washer jets ,oh and smells nice too

Did not know that Fairy Liquid was so bad, Works a treat on all the bugs, Perhaps I will get the stuff from Skoda then

I dont know what stuff I have in mine as Skoda put it in, but I am just wondering if it will be ok in the winter?

funny you should mention about the official stuff being designed for vag use

i just started using it and i was thinking it frothed a bit better than othher brands

Dont half stink though, I have to put recirc on for 5 mins!

I use Holts Screen wash from Costco in 5l cans at less than a fiver. It works well and doesn't freeze when using 1.5l to 3.5l mix.
