Sheffield Servicing Advice needed

Featured Replies

 Hi, I'm Neal.

I've owned a Fabia Estate 1.4L for a couple of years and always serviced through the Sheffield main dealer, Bickerton (I'm not very hands-on I'm afaid!).

I've just bought a 1997 Felicia 1.3L to run around in at work.

Can anybody recommend a good Skoda-savvy garage for servicing /repairs when the need crops up? Preferably close to S8 area. Obviously main dealer costs are a bit too high for an older vehicle, and I'm thinking of switching for the Fabia now as well.

Hope you Skoda-officianados can help :)

Warm regards....

I found the servicing cheaper at the main dealer, but the work (had brake pads all round fitted) cheaper at JBS, by about £50.....

That would suggest the main dealer is charging for less labour time so either they are doing it to get customers in and hoping to make profits on additional work or are able to carry out the service quicker than JBS. Personally I would rather pay the £6 extra and go to JBS as I'm far more confident in the quality of work and that they will look after the car than I would be with a main dealer.

THere is a VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda specialist in Dronfield but the name escapes me... They were in Active8/grapevine or one of those other crappy freebie mags recently so if you have a copy you could have a look or I'll try and post tomorrow (I cut the ad out for reference!)
