The car took a six month break and then the airbag light was on when I started using her again. I've been driving for a while now and I'm planning on selling it so I took it to the garage to get a bunch of problems fixed but I forgot to tell them about the airbag.

Would I need to get it professionally done or are there any checks I can make myself to see if it's a simple thing? Would it need any old garage or a Skoda dealer? Ta.

Could well be just because the battery voltage has got a bit low at some point.

Get the fault codes read off.
