The Red Baron... A Legend...

Featured Replies

Well, as dull as it has been in F1 over the last few years, hopefully now things will be more competetive.

Got to give it to Schuey though, despite his critics, he is world class, and possible one of the very best the worls has seen.

As for the comment that he had no competition, thats outrageous. Where were Ferrari before Schumacker joined them? In deep poo, thats where, notr a win for 30 odd years. If you ignore the facts etc, then you can't have a valid opinion in my view.

@ the in house Redbaron - Great? Who are you kidding?

There is no doubt that Schumacher is an exceptional driver but he could never play fair.

He & the team were always happy to sacrifice his teamates race to help him. Even in the early days when his team mate, Johnny Herbert, was quicker than him in testing he was able to pull strings, Johnny was not allowed to test that car again, he just had to turn up at the races to drive!

It's this sort of thing that will always tarnish his record, along with the various on track "events" including this years Monaco parking incident! How could he stand up in front of his peers & expect them to believe that he lost control of that car when in car footage showed him "parking"?

I also think he retired because he didn't want to be up against Kimi, which is a mistake because I think he had a good chance of beating him for an 8th title & could had left with some honour.
