F.T.A.O. the person with the 273bhp Fabia

Featured Replies

This has all gone a bit off topic but a new TDi vRS 170 weighs 1500kg. The haeviest Octavia is the 4x4 estate at 1615 kg.

So yeah, fair enough, the lack of rolled Octy's must be down to driver prowess or something similar! :P

Thats one heavy engine !

:iagree:

The word you're looking for is "ability" ;)

Fabia is only 10mm lower than new Octavia and 107mm narrower (no brochure nearby for old model!), so Fabia will be morelikely to have less weight on the inside wheels.

You cant make a judgment like that. C of G is what makes/helps a car roll over.

You only have to park a Fabia next to a MK1 VRS and you'll see how high the engine site in the fabia.

nothing wrong with that whatsoever, but as previous Fabia vRS owners seem to be saying - it's not the exactly best handling car in the world in the first place, so 273bhp and god knows how much torque probably wouldn't make for the most drivable car "in the real world"

:)

Agreed:)

Mind you,Jason is not far off WRC figures.Which I suppose is a good point.Skoda can make 300bhp in a Fabia 'driveable'( not real world I accept).Suppose you just need £300,000 worth of mods to do it:eek:

Well that will just add to the effect I mentioned. I'm sure there are a myriad of things to take into account to when considering what makes a car 'flip'.Any way I've work to do and we could be here all week discussing it!

I think the statistics show it all TBH.

The Fabia VRS is easier to roll than a MK1 Octavia VRS.

It is, but early you were saying it was down to the Octavia drivers ability, now you're agreeing that it is indeed the car and not driver ability.

Prehaps we should put it to the test at a future meet?

Thats because Octavia drivers fancy a challenge  Whats the point in driving something you know you can roll in afew miles ?

Sounds good to me. What you have in mind?

Oh definentely, hence I sold it and bought an MR2

Isn't jabba_luke 's car running about 227bhp ad 375 lbft of torque?!!!

the challenge :D

WTF is all this about?

Does this car have 273bhp & if so, is it still a ASZ engine?

I see the "who rolled their fabia" thread has vanished

Fabiaulous rolled his too ;)

Aye, off the face of briskoda :rubchin:

A Fabia owner offers their car for testing and then everyone has a go at rolling it.

I think it was the name in the number 5 spot that was the reason for deletion.

On a serious note, its a little concerning that 6 Briskodians have rolled their Fabia VRS

Perhaps it has something to do with the average age of Fabia vRS drivers?

Very, it can't be good for insurance premiums for other Fabia owners.

6? Fabialous was number 4 on my list, with a recent event being number 5.

I asked for my thread to be deleted.
