It feels a bit like xmas! - Big parcel just arrived

Featured Replies

After what feels like a long wait a big parcel has just arrived for me at work containing the new 2-piece discs for my porsche brake setup. :D

I felt like a kid at xmas opening the parcel, especially as a small crowd gathered to watch!

Despite their size they are much lighter than I expected thanks to the alloy bell. Also before anyone asks I'll post a pic up tonight.

What calipers are you using?

4 pots from a Boxster (calipers are basically the same across the range) but using 332mm discs so a bit bigger than a Boxster S/996 C4S which are both 318mm.

or Willwood, or Brembo ? :finger::rolleyes:

EDIT: At that size the discs should be ample, Eddy

Tongue was firmly in cheek fella. ;)

Should be a tasty setup Eddy... nice one.

Was very tempted by your old Brembo's. Those brakes should be awesome!

They're actually made by brembo as they're name is cast into the caliper housing.

is that the ECS tuning Stage 2 version 2 brakes Eddy?

Yes, I tried them on a friends car and they're very good. I didn't want to go any bigger on the caliper for fear of the master cylinder not been man enough. I sorted the discs through http://www.jbrperformance.co.uk

I fancy one of the rear kits when I have the money to futher uprate the R32 rears I have.

looks a great kit, if u remember i was looking at them for my A4. look brilliant!

think im just going to settle for upgrading to S4 brakes on mine, should be plenty enough :)

S4 Brakes should be a nice upgrade.
