peugeot 206 Hdi, whats the bhp??

Featured Replies

As a courtesy car, I have a Peugeot 206 hdi, 2004. On the i of the HDI, it is coloured blue, does anyone know the engine size or bhp?

I went on motorway for first time in it today, my foot was welded to the floor in every gear and it still only managed 70mph:eek:

I miss my VRS:orb_sad:

If you type the reg plate into the RAC's status check site, it'll tell you exactly the model. Then just pop on to Parkers.com and check out the figures. :)

If it's a courtesy car, I'd reckon it's the 68bhp 1.4 HDI unit :D

Chris

I wouldn't trust the RAC/AA etc sites to return 100% accurate info on the model...

68bhp OH MY GOD:eek: even my daughter was laughing at it!

Atleast you have a courtesey car. My Focus is in for a wheel bearing today, but courtesey cars weren't available til November. Wouldnt be too bad but the garage is 20 miles from my work. :(

I know I'm moaning and at least I do have a car, its just that I only got my VRS a few weeks ago and some idiot last week crashed into the back of it and now I am going to be without it for weeks, through no fault of my own!

I am annoyed:(

I did "borrow" hubby's Octy VRS t'other day, mmmmm, methinks I'll try and "borrow" it again (I have to clean it tho, but well worth it)

it could be worse, when someone drove into the back of my car a few years ago I was given a 1.2 Automatic Vauxhall Corsa. it has to be the worse car I've ever driven it seemed determined to redline in every gear.

I gave up on it after a week and borrowed my mums car (Peugeot 206 1.4HDI)

90bhp.

feels more like 68bhp:rofl:

maybe it was because the engine was cold that it felt like it had no power:rofl:

1.4l, either 68 or 90 bhp, depending on trim level.

TomVRS , front or rear wheel bearing ? rears are quite common

If its got a green "i", then it will be the eco-diesel, which is only 1 1.4! About 60-70bhp.

An ex-colleague of mine bought a 206 estate with the 1.4hdi a couple of years ago, and whil she said it could easily do 70mpg, I said it was effing dangerous to have such a low powered car. people in cars like that are a pain in the bum on the roads, as they take too long to get up to speed! I think the government should ban underpowered cars- I mean, a Golf with a 1.4 engine! Even the 1.6fsi I drove was woefully limp!

C'mon Buster, it makes no odds how much power a car has; if you don't press the loud pedal properly, it'll still be dog-slow to accelerate.

but that has a green i, rather than a blue i. and it still hasn't been confirmed that it's a 1.4 for certain

:)

Buster, 1.4 Golfs are not the fastest thing on the road but they are not slow. take a chill pill man. Size is not important, its what you do with it !

At least that's what he told his SWMBO

;) it was after I had the downsizing op

checked on RAC, according to reg number its a SE HDi 1.4

Now, I looked on Parkers but cannot find it, so don't know what bhp it is, maybe I'm not looking properly as I have a raging headache (little too much cider last night:D ) and cannot concentrate very well, I need a sleep, but there are some little angels playing outside with a bloody whistle and football:rofl:

Anyway, what ever bhp it is, its cr*p!

yeah, although I'd say more like 68:rofl:

I used to have a 1L Micra Shape and its about the same power as that, ie. virtually none:rofl:

think I might ring repairers and see how mines doing, although surely they'd ring me if it was going to take longer? I'm hoping its ready next Tuesday but they said would probably be longer:thumbdwn:

You'd hope so wouldn't you. When one of my previous cars was in for repair the 2-week job got stretched out to 3 months due to repairer incompetence  I gave up on chasing them on the phone and started visiting them every day to find out progress. Funny how things started moving then ;)

Although saying that, pursuing through the insurance company may carry more weight, but I didn't bother as that's just another layer of fobbing off! :D

just rang about my car, they said ring this time next week and they might know more:mad:

Apparently, its getting a new bumper but not the tailgate as they previously said, they are just going to bash dents out and sort the scratches out:eek:

I'm getting a bit stressed as I am due to start me new job on the following Monday and I wanted it all sorted out before then, but it doesn't look as though thats going to happen!

Good news is that I got a letter from solicitor saying that I should receive compensation on a full liability basis from other party but that it might take a while:(

Aren't they all blue?? :D
