dunno, my sister has a 206 Hdi, but I have never noticed if the i was coloured or not:rofl:

Mum has got the normal 206 hdi (without a coloured i), and that is 90bhp. Therefore, the green i from 2004, would be the lower powered one.

Have taken chill pill, and now floating around the room. Just fed up of seeing cars on motorways being overtaken by lorries! If you're too scared to drive at 70mph, then get off the motorway and stop causing hold ups!

and breathe....

think walkie style rants are rubbing off on me!

blue of the HDI incdicated a 1.4 not sure exact lettering, but would guess at the 1.4

only the 206 DTurbo gets the 2.0HDI 110.

There's a 90bhp green i here at work

Remind anyone of the VW 'red i' situation a few years back...

I'm sure the I is blue but as the car is sooooooooo crap, I have not been using it:rofl:

I agree, these low-powered cars should be scrapped, I will use the car if I have to but I think I am going to have to "borrow" t'other half's Octy VRS next week (hes at work all day, he wont be using it anyway) HaHa!

IMHO the insurance should be putting a new tail gate onto such a new car, I would be getting onto them about that.

At first, the repairers said new tailgate but then said not, not sure if its clear in the photo but there are a couple of dents and scratches on it where I have circled.

Not sure what to do now, obviously the insurance company want to get the work done as cheaply as poss but I don't know if it should be replaced or not:confused:

Your car was what a month old?

If should be returned to pristine condition not a fix, if it was a w/off at such a young age you would most likely get a brand new car.

At that age, new tailgate or car required, depending on insurance policy terms.

Why would a new car be required? It's not exactly a write-off?!

From the look of the photo, the damage to the tailgate isn't particularly significant - could easily be knocked back into shape and sprayed. All that a new tailgate will be is a bit of metal knocked into shape and sprayed, so I don't think it'll really make much difference providing the repair's done well...

Rob.

Is the work being carried out at a bodyshop you chose or the insurer? I would have insisted on the work being done by Skoda in order to retain the paintwork and corrosion warranty.

Key phrase "...Depending on policy terms." Some policies actually have a term whereby, if damage exceeds

Agree with EddyH about the car paintwork warrenty.

mentioned this to repairers and they said they guarantee their bodywork for 6 years so presume they know best:eek:

by the way, the i on the Peugeot Hdi is GREEN, not blue! oops maybe I should get me eyes tested!

:tipspecs:

Yes so thats 6 years against 10(?) years from skokda.

Obviously it is your call on this, but if i had a new car that had been hit I wouldn't be accepting anything except putting the car to as good as new, and having the work done in a skoda approved body shop, such that you keep all the new car warrenty.

Afterall IMHO half the reason to get a new car is warrenty.

thought it was 6 years from Skoda:confused:

I am really getting stressed now:eek:

time for a few beers :boozer:

Think it was 3 years paintowrk, 10 years bodywork on my MK I but i could be wrong.
