Friend of mine is getting a Focus ST in Electric Orange 40% off as he works in the Ford Group... question is... he is unsure whether to spec the ST stripes or not... i'm in the no go side of the fence.. but what are all you wonderful peoples opinions??....

No strips with the orange, but i would on the blue.

If it was my car, I'd say no (but I'd also be going for blue over orange ), but I think the stripes do suit the car

That's how i bought my first Fiesta. The guy at the dealer's purchased it, and then sold it to me, for a tad bit more than what he paid it for. I got a huge saving over all

I say yes - if the car's orange anyway it'll attract lots of attention

On the downside, Top Gear mag said their striped one attracted the idiots who wanted to race all the time.

White with blue stripes or vice versa looks nice, but orange with stripes would just be wrong. To be honest I'd avoid the orange if I were him. Its a nice colour now, but I think it'll date quite quickly.

If its Blue>>YES ,Orange>>NO.. Unless her can get it some black strips on orange instead of white ones.. that would look good

Yep , white stripes on the blue look nice but it wouldn't contrast as well on eyeball damaging orange

When I was wheel kicking the Ford salesman told me it was included but subsequent research revealed it wasnt. A colleague tried to buy a Focus ST170 (previous shape) through Ford Priviledge too but that wasnt included either.

ST Mondeos are out too.

Not sure on the ST Fiesta though.

I believe the "hot" S-Max isnt included either.

Excellent thanks Phil... all i've heard about is his damned ST 'his getting' don't get me wrong its a gorgeous car and i'd give an arm or leg for one... but for the shear fun of seeing his face when I tell him to check if he can have one or not... priceless... roll on tomorrow :thumbup:

No offence.... and i know this next sentance will prevoke a heck of alot of :mad: here.... but if you look for a sporty hatch... Focus ST certainly looks a heck of alot better than octy vRS or Fab vRS. Really does.
