Driver's door lock solenoid

Featured Replies

The central locking on my '98 Felicia works fine when operated from the drivers door. But, when it's operated from the passengers door all the locks pop up except for the drivers.

I read through previous threads and I am thinking it could be the drivers door lock solenoid. If so, roughly how much would one cost?. If not, does anyone know what else might be the problem?.

Could be the central locking control unit if not the solenoid, both expensive at around

looks like you can :D

Give the cental locking motor a blast with wd40 first, been a problem on a few cars I have had, last one was my wifes Citroen Xara Picasso, worked a treat.

got an english car that wont open passenger door, got a french one that wont open passenger door.

wd40 will work for a day of so ............... later you'll give in and open the doors from passenger/drivers side :) ps sometimes that lock will be stiff as '!!!!!!!!!' very hard to turn, so dont force it, leave it.
