Front Foglamp

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has had a successful crack at changing a front foglamp for the fabia VRS? Reading past threads suggests they are a little hard to change. My offside front foglamp has a nice crack right through the middle and needs to be changed; considered changing it myself. Any tips?

Think it is a front bumper off job, mate.

Easy to remove if you're careful. More info on doing a search.

Yeah, thought it was a case of taking the bumper off....argh....perhaps I'll just leave it for the dealer to do.

Are you sure it's a bumper off job... I got a replacement for the drivers side one on our 2001 estate and, whilst I didn't fit it myself I did check it out and it looked like it was dead straightforward, after having removed the adjacent black trim.

Cheers mate......i just can't be arsed to take my bumper off.

I take it this is only necessary to remove the fog lamp fitting and not to replace a bulb.....? One of my fog lamp bulbs is blown and I don't fancy removing the whole bumper to replace it

To change just the bulb you remove the trim around the fog light to get to the screw that holds the bulb holder in place...................I think it's a bit fiddly

The bumper off isn't a hard job either so don't be put off.

Do I remove it from the front? Does the trim just clip into place? I had a look at the weekend and couldn't get at the foglight from underneath.
