hi can anyone tell me when the timing belt on my octavia vrs will need changed .it has just turned 4 years old and has 51,000 miles on the clock. thanks guys.

Get it changed like yesterday!

hi my names chris, skoda timing belt intervals for your car are now at 4 years or usually 60k. Your AUQ engine will proberly have the plunger type self tensioner which i recommend changing as the old one can over tension after belt changes. Plus its not a cheap part.

Just got a reminder from the supplier of my Oct VRS that it's belt will be due on its 4th birthday. Brilliant! I do only 5000-odd miles a year in it and it's barely three years old. Tell you what though, I'll still be getting the job done.....cheaper than valve/head repairs.
