Yep, hatch definitely growing on me more now. Like the silver. My MK1 was silver. The dirt doesn't bother me so much with black - more the flaws that get shown up more obviously - chips, scuffs, the usual daily-driver stuff that you have no control over that stops your car staying pristine...

*sigh*
