Peugeot 406's are great for injuring people!

When I ran one as my taxi I was always dropping people down A&E after they cracked there heads open on the top of the doors, the tops curl over and finish in a sharp point, and yes, I did charge them for the trip to the hospital!!!

Has anyone ever done this?

When trying to get into your car in a limited space you think that the door is open far enough and sort of drop into the seat, on the way down you crack one side of your head on the top of the door which bounces it across and gives it another crack on the roof just for good measure! Both sides of your head done in one sitting.

Em get to casualty or the Doc they may be able to give you something better for the pain.

only thing I have done like that is kneel down at the back of the van and then get up sticking the fastening spike on the bottom of the door in my back .....did smart just a lttle bit and left a 3cm scar

Yep. Always got me in the nipple, though, as I reached in the back to get my jacket!

Always, in fact - I did it yesterday at college. The amount of curses coming out was so bad after that!

Have stopped taking the combination on NSAIDs and the ends of my fingers swelled up. Nails going blacker.

Shall try and show a medical professional at some point this week.

Still hurts like hell

Hi E-E. Don't worry about the nails going blacker methinks as it's usually just blood under the nails drying out - IOW, they should be OK so just put some nail varnish on and forget about them. Even if you've hit the nail bed, it should sort itself out in most cases, though it takes about six months for a nail to grow out to finger tip length. Patience is a virtue here...

Why did you stop taking the anti-inflamatory medicine? :confused:

The one pain worse than your fingers is when you get whacked on one of your ears by the top corner of the door....ouch

As someone else said, a helmet. Or maybe a rugby scrum cap. "Never leave home without it".

PS Preferably worn on one's head of course. Beats a mobile for protection of the ear
