Featured Replies

blimey, the thread exploded whilst i wasn't looking

thanks for the input guys :) so low to mid 300's power wise and low 300's torque wise :)

So now lets hear your plans, If you break the K03 Ive got a spare ;) ;)

Mine with a Full Blue Flame system, Front mounted Intercooler & a Jabba Custom map gave 250 bhp witha masive powerband & a really useable car just faster than a BMW M3 :) :)

not doubting you at all stuart but i also had a BF turbo back system, jabba FMIC, jabba boost controller and map and on the rollers they said i had 226bhp and 256lbft which on other rollers and vag-com came out at 200bhp and 220lbft. i know every car is different but mine definitly wasn't an M3 beater on the work they did.

COnsidering you've been mumbling about it since this time last year ;)

Mine gave 250 at jabba so a bit more but if you found a long enough road you might be suprised, most M3's have limiters. With a long enough run I could hit the limiter downhill in mine which was a fraction faster than a stock M3 as I proved in France on the Cannonball as I sailed gracefully past :) :)

I also sat on the tail of a delimited one on the flat in Sweden, he was indicating 160 & was totally flabergasted when we stopped. You wont get them on acceleration but they slide a lot on the twisties & once reaching max speed it strangely evens out.

Once youve modded yours you can give any M3 a run for its money in most conditions. Ive seen a lot of them on the European Jollys & with an exceptional driver they are phenominally quick but Ive never seen a Mr avearge like us get much out of them. They do sound nice though & can do some excellent slideways getaways from the Pub

you see i've never managed to hit the limited in mine, only just knocking 150mph indicated so either mines a bagga or needs some work doing to it.

And it wasnt a standard UK-non-STI impreza beater either.

Are you not tempted by the Focus ST, Bengie ?

If anyone remembers the Skoda day at Brunters with the White Supra they will know exactly what I mean. a true 200 mph car but it would need about 20 miles to do it !

I had Pauls octy on video playing with the supra. The octy was all over it untill the supra was on boost which was too late as not long after that he had to start breaking.

When he did the long run down the Runway at lunch time the Supra didnt even come onto boost in top before he had to brake.

Having said that I ran up to Calais with him on one of those long straight french roads & he just got faster & faster, I was tailing off approaching 150 & the Supra just kept on going towards 200

The Limiter comes in when the speedo needles into the trip window.

im not sure if the vag com reads wheel bhp or flywheel bhp bengie

flywheel mate otherwise its massively out as the tranny losses of the haldex system as a whole when running in 4x4 is about the 85bhp mark

well my car in standard form is way down on power too according to vagcom but i dont think it is
