Drive belt + tensioner replacement?

I required the centre section welded on my exhaust (Octy Vrs 51 plate) a fortnight ago but the rattle has returned.

It turns out the brive belt and tensioner needs replaced. Does this sound right? Does

Do you mean the toothed belt for camshaft drive ie the timing belt and tensioner?

I think it might also be called the auxillary belt and tensioner.

The cam belt and tensioners were done at the last (40,000 mile) Service.

The alternator ribbed v-belt and tensioner cost around £80 if that helps.

So

I was quoted £13 +VAT for the belt alone and told the tensioners don't usually get done on that belt. Since it was comming off anyway a new one went on.
