no re-map

Featured Replies

Hi!! I'm thinking about getting my fabia vrs re-map to 175bhp. If the car sustained a mechanical fault after this would it be possible to put the engine back to its original settings so that Skoda wouldn't know??? Cheers:D

er , no probably not , and welcome first time poster

cheers, I've also heard of some Skoda dealerships actually re-mapping customers cars on request. Can any one shed any light on this?

any engine/turbo mechanical failures which occur on vehicles which have been remapped by a dealer would have to repaired by the dealer at there cost ,how long they warranty the parts is anybodies guess , Skoda UK as far as i am aware do not warranty any remap done by any company

If it was a skoda dealer that did the map then the SUK warranty would be voided, and your warranty claims will be dealt with by the dealer under their warranty, ie. a 3rd party company. If that dealer then went bust you would again have no warranty.

Also, dont get the revo trial if you are concerned about warranty as this leaves traces in the ecu.

don't remap your car. insurance is a bugger afterwards and if you don't declare it and you get found your in deep ****, also warranty work can be an issue not to mention extra strain on all the mechanical components. oh, and the chances are you'll need a new clutch after about 40k if you "drive" the car, which no doubt you will.

just an off the wall query but how will say a miltek exhaust affect warrenty? if no other mods are performed?
