KONI springs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Whats the general thoughts about the Koni springs?? I have seen some on the following link

KONI Sport Springs - Euro Performance Car Parts

They drop the car 40mm which I believe is the most you can go without arch mods etc. I am looking to put these on a Furby vRS with the standard shocks on some 205/40/17s.

I just feel that the 25mm drop doesn't really like it's been dropped (still better than mine at the mo, it's looking like it's on stilts!)

Any thoughts, ideas or experiences, please let me know.

All the best.

Hi...

Thought id point out that these springs are NOT suitable for the vRS as the vRS has a heavier nose than the TDI and this will make the car look "nose down" and you will scrape the undertray all the time as the front end dives and bobs on the springs. Koni dont make any vRS specific ones either

your best bet is some proper Fabia vRS eibachs.. 25mm is the max you can safely go without risking bottoming out.(bear in mind the vRS is already lower). people on here who have gone lower than 25mm will vouch that getting a steel sump-guard was a good investment..

heres a old pic of mine when i had 17" rims + the 25mm eibachs. Looks ok, but the undertray sits very low... maybe 4-6inches clearance from the road

Looks a lot better than I htought it would to be honest. I have a Leon splitter on the front so should round it off quite nicely

25mm it is then!

mine with the splitter. only 16" alloys on it though so it still looks a little high. but you can see how low it is when you look at the splitter nearly touching the floor!

Hi

Yes I would say that the Eibach`s are the word on here (is that cool , or am I just getting old?)

These are specifically made for the Fabia vRS and them alone

We have sold loads of these and I think the majority of the owners have loved this mod

We do the Eibach`s at a reduced price to retail

The pic hasn't come up on the thread - any chance of emailing to [email protected]?

The splitter is a great piece of kit for under

Hi Mate

The roads are pretty awful tbh, pot holes, craters, speedhumps and half finished roadworks everywhere, with the council doing everything they can to make the roads busy all day rather than just at peak times...but there are some nice lanes and bypass' out of town.

Btw Gez I think I saw your car on your drive last week, looking sweet....keep an eye out for a currently(not for long) standard red fabia. You may well have seen or heard my last car, a rancid silver golf mk3 vr6 :)

Can you get lowereing springs and or Shocks for the 1.4 Mpi? I'm thinking about putting alloys on mine but wouldnt do it unless I can lower it a minimum of 25mm , I no like the stilts look!

Was it you that followed me back through the maplas lanes last week? I was being followed by a nice shiny vr6 with some very shiny wheels - looked realy good! Cheers for the comments on the car, suspension and arb next ready for the 200bhp remap!!!
