1999 felicia heated rear window affecting stereo?

Featured Replies

hi all, my 99 felicia has an annoying tendancy, when you switch the heated rear window on instead of demisting it, it turnes the radio to static, All the connections seem ok at the back of the radio and on the back window, could this be a bad earth somewhere else or a faulty hrw switch? any help would be appreciated as its doing my head in. thanks.

it could be a problem with the battery, the extra load from the rear heated window could be causing a voltage drop and making the radio go crazy

don't know the exact problem, but I hav just replaced the factory head unit (1996) with a new one, and it no longer has this problem... Maybe its a problem with interference? Is it just the radio or cassette/cd as well?

i expect one of the diodes in the power supply had failed
