hi could anybody help me

car starts fine and runs very well / but at about 2000 rpm 45 to 50 mph / i get a loss of power and the car starts jurking / if i decrease or increase the fuel it stops

/ or if i drop down a gear it stops / it only seems to happen when im crusing / thanks

it may be a fault on the load sensor on the injection pump, sometimes they get a bit worn on the part that is used most frequently (cruising)

does it do it in every gear at 2000rpm??

does it do it at 45mph regardless of which gear you are in??

it could be also a problem with a dirty or clogged diesel injector

Try injector cleaner fluid, and 'water in fuel' remover fluid, from car accessory shops. Also fuel filter (maybe it needs draining of water) and/or air filter.

hi tom / yes it only seems to do it at 2000 rpm in most gears / although i dont notice it in 1st or 2nd as you go through them so quickly / bur 3 4 5 it happens all the time / will check my book about the load senser / thanks for the reply mate

have stripped injectors and they all seem fine / all filters were changed not too long ago / will recheck fuel for water / thanks mate
