indicator wires

Featured Replies

a further wiring question...

In the absence of a wiring diagram, can anyone tell me which two wires out of the hazard light switch lead to the indicators (for the purpose of installing an alarm)... cheers

blimey, you dont want much do you??

the left one is Black with a white tracer

and the right is Black with a Green Tracer

if you alarm system requires a single feed rather than both left and right, then use the plain green wire

cheers - you definately seem to be the man in the know... So my alarm only has one output wire to flash the lights, so normally (past cars) I have to link it through a couple of relays to flash them both, otherwise both indicators flashed when I indicated!... So if I hook onto the green wire it should flash them both without that problem? cheers

what model alarm is it please??

its a uniden VS255 (probably means nothing to you as is from New Zealand!!)

fairly basic brain plus wires unit... with light flashing output and central locking output...

it might be easier to wire it up to the existing relays rather than using the ones supplied in the kit (if any).....

i shall dig out some more wiring diagrams later on this evening and see if i can work out a solution for you

looking at the instruction manual, it appears that it has a relay for the hazard lights built-in to the unit..

i will have a better look at this later on!

right, i've been puzzling over the wiring diagrams for a while.

use the green wire on the back of the harzard lights switch, but it will only work if the indicator switch is in the central (nuetral) position, otherwise it will only flash on one side
