Can I Make Her 'Woosshh'?!?!?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if it is possible to make our vRS 'woosh' when coming off boost, ie at gear changes etc??

I know you can upgrade the turbo wastegates on petrol turbos and am wondering if it is also possible on diesels:confused:  ?!?

I realise it sounds quite childish:O :o, but when an Imprezza passed this afternoon and showed off his 'woosh' it started my mind working!!

If it is possible what is involved and what would be the Skoda warranty issues??

Any help VERY much apprieciated, thanks:D :D :D !!

 also available in burberry   :D

@ Postmanpat - I know what your saying but it intrigued me whether it was possible. If it was a little cheaper I may have done it for a 'giggle' but at approx £500 it would be an expensive laugh!!

my 1.8T does it and i love it :)

childish - yes

silly - yes

stupid - yes

worth it - oh yes :D

The whole point of the Diesel VRS, is its understated, thats why I got one.

Dont try and match boy racer Scoobys, I have a Scooby too! and Ive not ruined it!!

It makes a nice noise I suppose - but on a diesel it doesn't generally make sense :)

I'd spend that money on actual improvements to the car - much more fun IMHO :D

The derv doctor fits them purely as an 'audio enhancement'. They do nothing for turbo stalling on diesels from what I gather.

Personally I find them annoying. A mate had one on his Fiesta RS Turbo and it got on my t1ts after about 10 minutes, constantly chattering every time you changed gear. Proper chavvish.

But, each to their own. :)

Dont' you think it'd make it sound even more like a bus ?

My turbo does it. :D Not your average turbo though. ;)

Don't diss the lpg cable tie install. They'll come kick yer ***. ;) :P

For keeping the lpg pipework and electrics attached under the car from boot to engine, there IS no better way.

On the other hand, until a bracket can be developed, the cable ties to the strut brace setup is a little bit of a bodge. But it allows greater regulator flexibility, given the awkward way the copper pipework comes into the engine bay from underneath the airbox. :)

Looks like I've openend a can of worms, SORRY!!!!!

 - no worries, a can of worms can be found in every thread if that's the aim of the game ;)

Regarding cable ties etc - have a search on Devonutopia's LPG/propane related installation threads. Makes interesting reading :D

I've heard a pd130 with a CAI filter. That does it...

Just wondering if it is possible to make our vRS 'woosh'.........

Just thought of a better way, Dowse it in petrol and chuck a match at it!!

Because there's no closed throttle valve to stall the turbo.

forge do a kit for all VAG diesels at around £230 ish i think :)
