Portsmouth RR Day - Sat 20/1/07

Featured Replies

Don't expect too much from mine as yet, unless by sheer chance I can get enough mileage on it pre-January AND get a custom map done after running it in again (camshaft + 4 valves + head skimmed) it won't be running too high in bhp etc as yet, hopefully I can get that done though :)

Will be good to meet some you guys :)

I'm not too far behind you on that count ;) :P

It looks like I may not be able to come after all :( :( :( :( :( as there's talk I'll be half way around the world mid to end Jan :(

Ooh, sounds like I will be back just in time now.

I'll book the night before - going on the drinks whilst being massively tired and jetlagged sounds like a plan to me

Won't be going on the rollers though as I won't have had the chance to get mine tweaked now that I'll be away.

"bigSi" is trying to get time off so can he be put on the ballast list for des's car and also on the list for going on rollers if there is a gap or extra time? ta

I reckon Des needs a PD130 'on top' to keep his front wheels down :P

Having seen & saved that video ;)

That's one Octy that could really do with 4x4 or at the very least a LSD. I've always wondered if on the road you get sufficient downforce to be able to use that kinda power though? (not having a dig, just interested as I have sufficient trouble with mine on decent tyres + LSD + nowhere near the power Des' one sticks through the fronts)

This should sort it ;)

i didn't last time :P

Seriously, have a search for the vid on site as it is quite fun to watch :D :D

Hmmm, getting a bit more tempted to perhaps get a final run in.... damn, no stop it, Jason! :(

I reckon you ought to do a run Mr J ;)

Look into the eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, and 'snap'

** You will go on another RR **

'and you're back' :P

Seriously though it would be interesting to have your car + mine on the same RR on the same day, as mine is nowhere near potential yet and you keep referring to scary upgrades that will make it shread tyres even more quickly :D

(also wouldn't mind meeting you face to face at some point  )

Nope, sorry - as much as I'd love to pop on down, I really can't considering the IOW trip, and I really need to start saving money for the CZ trip.

Fair enough - will try if I can make it to Devon at some point, perhaps devonmikeyboy is about around that time too :)

I have heard from a very good source that it now has abit more power

Hmmm, maybe its worth just coming to spectate to see Des' motor. :D

Come along the night before, we are all meeting up for a post Christmas shant and staying in a cheapo hotel for the night before the main attraction the following day

Well, just clocked it as a 140 mile journey to Portsmouth from me in Devon, so not all that far, but still a good trek. I'll see how it goes - The I.O.W trip is the weekend before so it's a little busy around that time.

I have heard from a very good source that it now has abit more power

Nope, I belive it's still a standard 1.4.........

with all these big power vehicles coming we may need more fatties like me for ballast, so hurry up and eat more mince pies!!
