my wipers' intermitant function does not seem to be working... Is this likely to be a fault with the stalk or something else? They still work on normal and fast, although when I turn them off if they are mid wipe they will just stop in th middle of the windscreen - is that normal?

Options are:

- Relay

- Park sensor in the motor (this sounds most likely since they stop mid wipe)

- Stalk.

The realy is cheap, but in this case I would suggest that is most likely a motor.

The intermitent setting has a memory, wipe them once then turn off wait the amount of time you want until the next interval then turn them on to intermittent and they will wipe however often you have told them to.

The max time is 30secs, are you sure they arent just set to this?

does it work ok on all the other settings?

yeah, they work fine on normal and fast - apart from stopping mid-wipe... And on intermittant they don't wipe at all... not even once...

some further info on this one...

Have since discovered that when I move the stalk to the intermitant position, a click does come from the relay, but nothing happens...

Also, if the stalk is in the int position, when I push the stalk to wipe the rear window, the fronts will work intermitantly (but only when pushed towards the dash)...

any ideas???
