This week's Autocar shows new Octy....lurvly!

Featured Replies

Anyone who has not gotten this week's Autocar..well they should. Why? Cos the only picture of the new Octy is a good one.

Wow! What styling detail. The front wings have a flat top upto the inner edge of the headlights...thereby making the bonnet look smaller. Shame I dont have a scanner.

ill need to buy it, is it the same pics that have been shown on here?

I have not seen the pictures on here. Its a close up of the bonnet/front looking down the flank of the car.

The car has many Superb styling cues esp the roofline as well as the front.

The article goes on about the differences in size and dimensions etc...like it is 65mm longer overall, and wheelbase strechted by 66mm to 2578mm and boot capacity jumps an extra 32litre to 560 litre seats up and 1350 seats down.

Engines:

1.4 litre at 74bhp; 1.6litre at 101 bhp; 1.6 litre at 113bhp? and 2.0 litre at 148bhp (FSI). All these are petrol. Deisel are two engines at 1.9 litre 103bhp and 2.0 litre 138bhp with both being TDi PD engines.

The new DSG gearbox will be available on all diesels and an auto option is available on all petrol engines bar the 1,4..

New estate will be next year with replacements for the 4x4 and vRS also in the pipeline.

New OCTy will be at next months Geneva Motor Show so I will ask a factory pal to take a load of close up photos for us...exterior and interior plus collect any literature.

Look like these pics Mark?
