Octavia ALternator - Help

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently bought a second hand octavia and on driving it home died, looks like the laternator died so I have been told

The old alternator was a 037903025E 14v 70A, I recently got a reconed unit wich had a similar part num but B version also 14v 70A. now the 2 pin connectors are different and cable routing of the main cable is different.

If I bodge the connection of the 2 pin connector will it still work ok? I know its not ideal, but need to get back on the road again, and least so i can find another cheap alternator with right connector

does it have any indentification letters on the terminals??

if it does, match up the wires to the right terminals, and everything should be ok
