Not sending results for FAH

Featured Replies

My FAHlog is showing that it cannot send a work unit (completed on Nov 30th) to the FAH server (171.65.103.100:8080)

Is there anything I can do about this? - maybe send an email or via some FAH messageboard that might exist?

Thankfully it's just queuing it and crunching another work unit, otherwise I'd be at a stall point.

Several of mine are the same. Apparently its a known bug. They suggest to re-install the client.

I'm having a new issue now - It seems it won't connect to the server to get new work after sending the old unit. I have to restart my PC for it to do this. It also now has at least 2, maybe 3 WUs stored which it tries to send. I don't really want to reinstall, but it seems rebooting the PC manages to make it get work from

171.64.122.142

where-as it won't connect to

171.65.103.100

with regards to sending completed work units, and try to get new work after finishing a work unit.

A bit miffed really. :(

I am now being plagued by the same problems as Jason ... I've got 2 completed WUs sitting on my PC which won't upload (one since 6 December).

The servers involved appear to be OK so I'm not sure where the problem lies. :(

Do either of you have IE7 installed, if you do and have a proxy set in IE this maybe the problem.

If it was IE7 would they still be able to download new units?

I know it's no help, but mine are sending ok ;)

I did upgrade to IE7 sometime just before the problem arose; I've changed FAH to not use IE settings or proxy settings and that seems to have done the trick as my two pending WUs have now uploaded. :)

I'll have a go at that tonight as well then.

I asked this because mine did the same, and then I found a thread about IE7 on the FAH forums.

Well, I've turned off IE & proxy in the config of FAH and now I'm getting this. :(

What program do you open it with? :o

Well, since my last post, it has managed to download some fresh work, but I think it still has at least 3 units to upload. It will try again soon, so I'll keep my eye on it this evening. :)

I've had some issues recently with not being able to upload - but I just restart the service and so far (fingers crossed) that has done the trick everytime.

Well see if about 5 units should appear on me shortly

Interesting, nothing has shown, i'll see if anything shows up by next check point.

You also noticed how the queue doesn't actually work, becuase if it can't send the client just stops?

Mine did get new work eventually, but for a while it did keep trying to send the work and keeping the unit @ 100%. My three units have definitely not credited, so I don't know what the hell happened. It's credited stuff done since too.

Have a feeling i just lost 5, they were big units too :(

Don't Panic Mr C.

According to the results on Stanfords own site, there is 1506 points that have not yet appeared on Extreme's tables.

EDIT: 5 units now showing on Extreme, 1506 total credited

All the Best

Chris

Not a panic, more just a Grr, have to say the FAH client isn't exactly what you would call a high quality tool on windows or linux, which is a shame.

Mine still haven't credited!?! :( :thumbdwn:

It does seem to be taking awhile for the extremeOC site to be picking up the new completed work units... :(

Mine still haven't credited!?! :( :thumbdwn:

Is that on Stanford's site or Extreme?
