shocking!

Featured Replies

ok just been on the zf trading site and looked at thare range of shock absorbers for my 1.6 hatch. only problem is i have no idea whitch ones i should be getting. do i go for the advantage, the super touring, the automatic or the turbo. and whitch type, the gas pressure or the oil pressure?

i hope someone out there can help as i have not a clue:confused: . the car is lowered if that helps.

the best shock absorbers are the twin-tube gas pressurized ones. iirc the 'turbo' ones arre no longer in production.

ok. the sachs advantage looks to be twin tube gas pressure strut, like the boge tubo ones. any differance? are these guna be better than the standard ones? with the lowering springs, the suspention seems a bit un-tamed.

wish lummox was around to reply!!

ps. just joined freedom.

the boge tubo ones have shorter piston rods for use when lowering the car, but a normal shock absorber is fine if you are lowering the car by about 30mm
