Milltek fitting on Octy mk1

Featured Replies

How have people found the fit of the Milltek 2-box cat-back system?

I fitted mine today, and have to say i didn't find it the best fit :(

It seems the angle of the resonator box exit pipe isn't quite right and is tending to pull the resonator over to the offside so the back end is very close to the underside heatshield. I;ve had to only slide the minimum of length of the axle link pipe into the resonator bend to get away with it.

That said it does otherwise fit OK and doesn't knock on the floor (yet ;))

One tip: Throw away the totally carp U-Clamps that Miltek use and get some proper ones from an exhaust factor -- will make correct fit and spacing alot easier and avoids the pieces slipping and knocking.

my old one took abit of adjustment over time, to get it right, i found that using washers on the hanging bracket you can space it out so it will sit right, i also found putting cable ties round the rubber mountings help to reduce the movement of the brackets, hope this helps
