Fabia on bio/chip fat fuel ?

Featured Replies

Hi all, if i was to go down the road of finding a supplier for bio fuel or cooking oil what would the specs be, mixture wise and any other info regarding a 1.9SDI fabia running on it......any good?

If so then how do you find a supplier ?????

Cheers,

Kevin

Is the SDI a PD engine?

My VRS was ver poor at starting when I tried it. Smelt like a chip shop!!

Did you try a search?

Be warned there are lots of difference between Bio and WVO (Waste Veg Oil) or cooking oil.

Lot's of threads on Bio on here.

Mixture wise SUK say 5%, you should be good up to about 40% which is what I have been running although i am currently on about 25% (Or 10 ltrs per fill) due to the cold.

BTW mine runs like a dream on it, it starts fine drives fine and there is ample power. You will have to change your fuel filter on a more regular basis though.

For a supplier try...

agents

I used veggy oil on my sdi at a 30% mix, its great, car is quieter too :)

I have msn if u wana chat more about it

The SDI is not a PD engine, just conventional direct injection from a common injection pump.
