Octy II vRS vs Evo7

Featured Replies

I wouldnt' - he has a MKI Octavia not a MKII.

If you're being picky, no he hasn't, he has an Octavia, rather than an Octavia II. A mk1 Octavia looks like:

And would be soundly thrashed by an Evo 7... :)

And if you really wanted to be picky you would say he has an Octavia 1U and not an Octavia 1Z :P

Some interesting comments in this thread ;):D

So it's a straight line race then?

Ok...here we go...here is what happened, witnessed by NeoVR...

Picture the scene.....Myself, in my Octavia 2 vrs, with Colin as passenger go for a drive with some local mates of mine, one of whom has an EVO VII, as pictured above.

Clearly what happened next was on private land :D

Well, we decided after the drive out to have some fun around some round things, similar in appearance to your everyday roundabouts, a series of them, with some short dual carriageway style road in between them. Basically, the driver is a mate of mine, and a pilot. The basis of this thread, is he couldn't shake me off from his back bumper, and made no ground on me whatsoever, on the straights, or on the "roundabouts". I've know for a while he can't outrun me in a straight line, but he usually mullers me in the twisties. I usually have my ESP off though, on this occasion I left it on, so was in fact going around the "roundabouts" as fast a physically possible, with the aid of ESP.

In no way at all am I going to claim my car is as good as an Evo 7 at what it does, BUT - I can go just as fast, and get more shopping in the boot :)

Oh, and I wouldn't "race" him from a standing start - obviously.

Your a very naughty man, no go to Loz's room :D :D :D :D

Surely your shopping is going to be all-over the boot.

I just hope there were no eggs or glass bottles!
