How low is air intake Mk1 Vrs

Featured Replies

I am looking to see if anyone can tell me where the air intake is on the Mk1 Vrs? Scotland is currently doing a good impression of a swiming pool, and just want to know if I should be worried about traversing floods and sucking in water:eek: Has anyone ever heard of Vrs being prone to flood water damage?

The main intake is behind the front bumper on the passenger side, but the pipe goes up into the wheel arch then across to the airbox.

Air intake is literially where the airbox joins the inner wing..so it's quite high up.

I reckon you be sitting in water for water to get in via intake.

If you have a CAI with pipng down to the lower bumper grill...now that's a different matter..but the water still has some way to go even from there.
