Fabia vRS v 'Classic' Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Well,the headlight bulbs.

My wife's Fabia vRS non xenons are so much brighter than my Octavia vRS.Are they different? More powerful? If they are would some fit my Octy?

There is a price to pay though it seems. She will shortly be on her second set after 2 years.I have the original bulbs..5 years old.

Sounds like your wife's car has Xenon bulbs (not plasma discharge, aka Xenon, aka HID units).

Not sure the Furbie uses the same bulbs as the Octy, but you can get H4 Xenon bulbs yes. Look for bulbs describes as "30% brighter" or "50% brighter".

get some really bright "not for road use" bulbs :)

Not sure I'd recommend that; I've heard of people (not Skoda owners but still worth the warning) using 130W bulbs who've melted the bulbholders out of the reflectors and landed themselves with bills for several hundred pounds

100W bulbs will be fine :D

Ive got some powerbulbs own brand +50% for my lights and they are great..normal bulbs just dont compare

I'm finding whatever's in mine to be a touch yellow, but all the range I need atm. Still thinking about a visit to some accessory shops when on hols though.

I think one of the other reasons is that the Fabia's light cluster is considerably bigger than the Octy's which helps with the spread of light. You're probably also travelling faster in the Octy ;)

A trip to Power Bulbs - autobulbs, autolamps, xenon headlights, car bulbs, headlight bulbs, osram silverstar, silver star, philips vision plus, philips blue vision, bluevision for some Philips Vision Plus or Osram Silverstars should improve things a lot :D
