Octavia VRS Air conditioning noise

Featured Replies

I am sure I saw a post on this previously but cant find it, I had the car put through its 80,000 mile service a few weeks back, shortly after since there has been a problem that when the air con is on there is a loud clicking noise from near the glove box.

When i put the air con on circulate the noise ceases which makes me think its a fan or filter problem, is it something I can look at myself or will I need to go back to the dealer? (bearing in mind I am pretty good with databases but crap with electrics)

Any Ideas?

IIRC this is right up your street! use laptop + vagcom cable (search for the map of helpful Briskodians with it in your locale) to reset the heater flap. Do a search and you'll find out all about it. Tweak a few other settings as well while you're at it.

Also check the in-cabin filter is clean. Mine made a humming sound until the dealer vacumn-cleaned the pollen filter (reminds me, need to get a new one soon)

Anything else is "go to the stealers" I would imagine.
