Now whats up with it?!

Featured Replies

Driving back tonight the car (110TDi) felt that it had no go it... will it would get up to speed, it look a long time. It reved over 3000 (which is the indicator that MAF is ok), and got around to 4k, but it felt like a real struggle.

I dunno what to liken it to, when pulling away from a standstill there was no get-up-and-go, and I never got it over 80mph - by that point it felt as if it had given as much as it could.

MPG over the 1hr40 run (about 60 miles) was about 58, iirc.

I would vag-com it, but I left my laptop at work... so iof I get a chance I'll check it when I get to work tomorrow morning.

If you pull the MAF off then start it and try driving it does it get any worse.

That sounds exactly how the thing drives with the maf disconnected.

Another possibility could be a split/disconnected hose?

Actually yeah, and you did say things got fixed when you played around by the pipes.

I'd be looking for pinholes or vacuum leaks.

I pulled off the small pipe that leads from the back of the airbox last night and sucked/blowed down that and wiggled the pipes/cables and it was better this morning, an obvious turbo sound as I drove down the road (but not the sort of kick I seem to remember!)
