Another wet Felicia problem

Featured Replies

I discovered 2 pools inside my Felicia today. One was the well documented front passenger well and the other was the rear drivers side well.

I have searched the forums but cannot find any reference to damp in the back. Any ideas?

Overflow from front to back on steep gradient.

Slightly open rear window.

Plastic membrane inside back door card not doing its job properly.

The latter pair you could find if you get a hose applied to the car while you're inside looking

Hi John

I don't think its an overflow.

If it was either of the latter suggestions, would I see some traces of a "trail" from the door? It looks like someone just poured a large jug of water into the footwell - no dribbles etc from the door.

If the membrane isn't doing it's job properly the leak will be at the bottom of the card - just a few dribbles where you never look.

Check for blocked drain holes in the door base too.

Had a look around the car yeaterday and the black padding in the engine bay is wet also - that is the padding on the engine bulkhead that runs behind the battery the full width of the car. The foam under the dash is sodden also.

I looked at the window seals and it looks OK but of course it may still be leaking. This is a right bummer.

sounds like the windscreen seal.
