Bye Bye Felicia

Featured Replies

My 5 month "love" affair with my Felicia is thankfully coming to an end.

In the short time I have owned it I had the following problems:

- thermostat failure

- fan switch failure causing a dead battery 100 miles from home

- fan belt broken

- alternator/battery problem still unfixed

- electric window mechanism failure

- rear door lock problems

- a requirement to wear wellington boots due to a leak or leaks

It has been without doubt the most troublesome 5 months of motoring I have experienced. So tommorow I am getting rid.

Thanks for all the help I have received here on the forums :D

You could have exactly the same probs with other cars mate;

For instance,

My brothers 2001 Pug 306 leaks water thru the windscreen.

My 2002 Mondeo had an appetite for screen washer pumps

My 2005 C Max had major dash rattles

My 2005 Focus had a cam sensor failure, air con problems and a water leak

So maybe, just maybe your luck will change, I hope it does, but believe me the Felicia aint that bad. Mines my back up car and it s a little trojan.

Sorry to hear that podge. My wife has had her Felicia 9 years and 120k and the thermostat went once and the original battery packed in a fortnight ago.

I've had a Felicia almost 4 years (SH) and 50k with one duff thermo, though it started to leak in the driver's well this autumn. Sounds like you had a wrong'un.

yep, all cars get their share of problems and looking at your list, yours were only minor quibbles.

I can't say i love my Felicia but apart from a rusty suspension strut it's pretty reliable, even if it's not as refined or as fast as i'd like, it's still cheap motoring.

Hope you find something that satisfies you this time :)
