After 33k my rear discs and pads could do with replacing. Could anyone confirm that these are the correct disks I require for the rear of my 4x4 hatch - solid disc, 232mm diameter? :confused:

I think they are but the listing I have doesnt even list the 4x4 model specifically.

Yes... that sounds right..

All the Octys (apart from the 1.6mpi and the vrs) have the solid rear discs...

check out GSF carparts for decent prices... im about to get a new set all round from them

Many thanks, any idea which disks and pads are the best option to go with the Octavia braking page?

I want standard looking disks but ideally better than standard pads?

Sorry to be a P.I.T.A but can anyone else confirm that the 232mm solid disks are right for the rear of my octy 4x4 as someone put a doubt in my mind today suggesting they may be different or unique on the 4x4 model.

Any help greatfully recieved.

ETKA shows 4X4 rear discs as being 239x9mm - solid. PN: 1J0 615 601D Other Octavia models with rear discs (vRS excepted) have 232x9mm solid rears. That said, my 4X4 has option code 1KE for rear discs which ETKA decodes as 232x9mm solid discs.

DGW - as I suspected myself really, a slightly different setup - thanks for taking the time to look that up.

Now the search is on for some compatible disks and pads whilst trying to avoid dealer prices....

Just a little update - I thought I'd phone the dealer for pricing and I was actually pleasantly surprised! £86 all in for the disks AND pads.

Is that as reasonable as I seem to think for genuine parts?
