Has anyone seen this

eBay.co.uk: SKODA OCTAVIA VRS BLACK & WHITE LEATHER INTERIOR G2/G3 (item 220063328441 end time 30-Dec-06 21:05:00 GMT)

I tried putting a "cheeky" bid in for £75, with the intention of possibly upping it. I have seen this sort of thing go for a couple of hundred from time to time

here is the response i got back

"hi

your offer of 75.00 for the octavia 1/2 leather trim is very funny , think you need to find a girl friend or boyfriend or at leaset get a life you sad lonley lead fed muppet . stop fannying around on ebay and wasting peoples time. "

danny

does any one have any experience with this set of W4nker5????

There is no need for abuse like that in my opinion.

£1000 ???? i'm ripping mine out and selling it.then i can fit one thats easy to keep clean and doesn't rattle, and seats that support your butt.

i found hi comments quite funny, probably because they weren't directed at me :)

I know the company involved, they are reasonably close to me. They deal mainly in VW's but cover all vag's from what I could gather.

£1000 takes the pi55 in my opinion. Half that and they would still be a fair way above anything I would pay for it.

I completely agree that their response was rude and inappropriate. Lesson learned, don't buy from them!

Just offered £76 - maybe that will tempt them!

Excellent

Any advance on £76 :)

Let us know what they come back with

the reason the item is listed for 1k is the ebay offers system. i would'nt expect people to pay the asking amount, hence offers!.

making an offer of 75.00 pound for an interior worth 5 times that is nothing more than an insult. it wastes my time and your time. the reply you got maybe a bit extreme but what exactly do you expect, should i accept the pathetic offer in the future, no i think not. if this kind of childish behavior makes you all happy, fair enough. just do me a favour and waste someone else time.

as for the insults and threats by text. GROW UP

They have now asked me to pop in for a friendly chat.

Have to say I am disappointed that briskodians have been sending abuse to the seller, I don't like his initial reply but retaliating is not going to help...

This "person" does not even seem to think there is anything wrong with the type of reply he has sent out. I have communicated this to him but to no avail.

I have just this minute sent an email to ebay regarding this.

As for texts, this is nothing to do with me. Perhaps someone else is not happy with him either.

I am sure he has got more than enough bad press now anyway.

My comment was not specificially aimed at you roblatus, just a general comment...

Thats ok. I was not taking it totally personally.

I have given some stick back to that person though and he deserves it in my opinion. Just because he is not happy with a bid that has been put in on his auction, does not give him the right to insult me as he did. Why not just refuse the bid and leave it as that? But no he has even resorted to veiled threats of violence. Pathetic.

As i originally said, interiors like that have been known to go for couple of hundred. He seems to think it is worth £500 anyway which is still ridiculous and deluded. imho

my words - the reply you got maybe a bit extreme but what you expect?

given the situation i feel we are more than within our rites. could of been dealt with better but i still stand by my original post!

a bid of that value is nothing more than timewasting

as for ebay we have done the same, im not getting into who said what and who did what etc etc.

maybe common sense should shine through and leave the subject alone? i've posted my view and whether agreed with or not then hey, life goes on

Someone give the guy credit on what he is saying maybe if the offer had been £200 it might of been a nicer reply!:D but he stands by what he said so maybe you offended him?:(

Summary:-

Ebayer

No need for reply

robo

Don't take the ****

Fair point - lets hope there is a satisfactory conclusion for both parties

I did ask several times for you to just leave me alone in my messages.

Also thank you for at least admitting that your response was somewhat extreme. Like i said, myself and others on this forum have seen these things go for significantly less than you are asking and if anything, nearer to the price i originally submitted.

Subject closed as far as i am concerned

Well at least we have one grown up!

Dont think this guy should be driving a SKODA , gives it a bad name . :thumbdwn:

Sounds like a goon to me. Yes, he did take the wee wee a little with the offer but no need to kick off like that.

I notice the seller has now been kicked off ebay....

..

Wonder what he said? ;)
