Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

Long time since if been on this site work related. :thumbdwn:

I own a AUDI A6 TDI PD 130 bhp can anyone tell me how easy is it to get the engine power to 150 bhp but keep good driveability,

My wife own a furby vrs is it also easy to get the furby to 150 bhp and keep driveability and reliability.

also are the 130 and 150 engines chipped from 110 bhp just thinking about reliability woes and who`s the best company to use from other peoples experiences.

any help will be appreciated

thank you and good to be back on the site.

critch

The older 110 bhp engines are a different type of engine.

150 is very easy and safe to obtain.

Revo, Jabba, Custom Code, AMD to name just 4 of many. ;)

Or you could just use a plug in Digital tuning box to achieve 150 bhp with ease.

My 130pd Superb was putting out 170bhp on the middle setting of a Dragon Digital tuning box, drove better than standard and did 120k on that. when putting it on the max setting (there are 16 I think) it was noticably less drivable (not undrivable though) but f*ck me did it shift!

Dragon are widely regarded as one of the best suppliers of digital tuning boxes for diesels-

Or keep an eye on E-Bay as they sell (brand new) units on there well below the RRP.

Another vote for Dragon. They've now released a new version of their tuning box which is available direct via their eBay shop (dragonperformanceu.k).....

TBH with the kind of performance increase you're looking for, any of the tuners would do, or go for a Dragon digital tuning box perhaps.

Any generic mapper will be able to hit 150 bhp on the PD130 without causing massive stress to the car, and keep torque at very safe levels to keep your clutch from going too :)

God, these frickin Dragon Boxes - I WANT ONE!

I dont want to chip as I want it to be removeable but I just want some better performance out of my standard TDI 110 octy as it sluggish when overtaking.

Question is though Will Norwich Union still insure me??????? Any ideas guys - if so how much....?

Depends if you tell them or not.

It is removable, but would you be able/have time to remove it after an accident?

You should of course, always inform your insurers of any modifications and failure to do so could invalidate your policy.

Take your chances or not? It's up to you, I know what I did!

you think your octy 110 is sluggish! i've just bough one (110 octy elagance )after 13 years with a citroen zx 1.9d after that the octy flies.
