b.h.p

Featured Replies

hi can anyone tell me what the standard b.h.p is for a 54 plate octy vrs , and also is the pipercross viper air filter any good

180bhp like every other standard mk1 vRS and i've heard they are good but pricey.

Dont do it lad! phone star or jabba and get one of their recommended kits! Then at least you know its tried and tested :)

jabba? £250 for a cone filter and bent bit of aluminium? no thanks.

i have a BMC CDA on mine and it makes a lovely noise, not really loud but quite mean sounding :)

portsmouth!!! that's just a tad to far for me !!!but £150 for the cold air indution kit is quite good

Besides the noise, will it add any bhp before/after remap compared to standard?

some say yes some say no, it does let the engine rev a bit more freely though.

Right ho.

Got the CAI from a member on this site. I cleaned out my PM section some time ago, must have lost it then.

I'm sure if you (s) do a bit of searching, you'll come up trumps.

Nice bit of kit comes complete with big cone shaped air filter, fitted inside the nearside wing, connected to the inlet system via a 3" (or 4") polished ally tube & silicon connector. All the ancillary pipework is included and stainless clips.

sounds like an alloy version of a carbonio, goochie's mate made them and flogged them on ebay i believe :)

ebay rings a bell bengie, got mine on here.

Now running and ABD Racing CAI on my Octy vRS, but can confirm the e-bay one is very good value for money, but really does need and bigger and better filter to go with it if the engine is remapped, try a green or K&N filter.

Think we got ours from John on maximumpowered.co.uk and he was cheaper than the one now on flea-bay and it included postage.

I think that was his contact details, but if you use the search, this was covered a while ago.
