Sounds like the problem. To be honest you may as well get one from your local dealer, it'll probably be on the shelf and not very expensive.

Ours did the same just before Xmas. Fixed by a well known Techie and Yes it is the hazard light switch. Looked like he just pulled out the old one and pushed in a new one but I'm sure there must be more to it than that?? Never realised before that the indicator sound actually comes from the hazard light switch not the indicators:doh:

That is basically it - easy DIY job

ordered it from vag parts £22+vat and £2.20 to send it to my door,skodas price £28.63 plus id have to fetch it 12 miles away just incase anyone else needs one

that happened to my octy a few months ago and yeah its linked to the hazard warning button, i got the new part from a local skoda dealer bout

thanks ill prize it out with a cotton wool bud lol
