is there anyone else out there living in essex / local to me who uses this board and also drives a octy vrs as it would be nice to meet up with some people or set up a mini meet in this area as i live in colchester i am ,on the essex suffolk border so there is no localish meets .would love to see what other people have done to there cars .will post some pics of my vrs this week once i haved washed the dirt off. and the bleedin kids paw prints off the glass

Hi, I live in Essex too and I'm in charge of the SE meets section. There have been some meets here, but the problem I've found is that I don't always have the time to organise one, and also there is not always the interest due to other commitments, although I'm hopefully looking to sort one out in the next month or so.

In the meantime, there is a meet in Maidstone, Kent on friday night or if you want a small more local meet I will be attending a Seat meet in Margaretting, just outside Chelmsford on Sunday, they are a friendly bunch and there will be at least 2 skoda owners there.

the trouble is how far are you prepared to travel?

one end of the county to the other is a tad far but its down to you!!

i have only had my car 3 months now and have been busy on the previous meets but i will be going to the next one. come down to the portsmoth rolling road day. i have been told that it will deffinately be an eye openner and a real good laugh. you dont have to run but come and spectate!!

I'm in Brentwood, although I'm not an Octy driver, Furby is the way for me! I would love to see a Essex meet, only got my car in March & been too occupied with work for anything so far.

Why not ?? The "DOGGING" pub is pretty central, just come up with a date, preferably not midweek.

I was talking to Chris last week and thought about somewhere more central like Chelmsford, just need to find somewhere and then sort a date out.

chelmsford would be ideal

chelmsford would be fine, the halfway house was a bit close i could have cycled down so a drive into chelmsford would be nice.

I wouldn't know if I could make it as far as Chelmsford, we could have it on my driveway...

Chelmsford is going to be a bit of a trek for me, but I will make the effort! Would definately be up for a meet in Essex.

I took delivery of a black furby vrs this week and I also live in chelmsford... Can I come out to play?.... please!

Sort of arranged one before. Dates, who fancies what? Weekends are out for me in the daytime as I work Sat / Sun, but other than that OK. I would suggest possibly second Friday in March. Venue somewhere near Chelmsford with reasonable food.

Any thoughts on this date / location. Yay or Nay?
