I know its been talked about already...but

My car is currently at the 'Dealers' and they have spotted the missing air-con clutch.

They say they can re-fit a new one and give the air-con a service for

Hmm i dunno if it has fallen off there could be other damage and £425 seems a lot to chance it on a may or may not last.

I was quoted £600 for a new one fitted by a third party garage i use.

How old is your car, as I had just had the aircon serviced when mine failed and skoda were really good about it and paid some of the cost.

The aircon will need the full regas anyway when the compressor comes off. Also you will need a new dryer unit.

The car is a 2001 Octy with 110k on the clock.

If the dealer does the work, don't they have to give me a guarantee?
