I just don't like the look of it, no matter how good a drive it may be. I find I think "yuck" to a lot of new cars when they're first revealed, but then they grow on me (5-series for example), but this hasn't happened with the 1-series - it's still "yuck." I'd rather have a Fabia (honestly.)

But the '1 is a hell of a lot better than the Fabia :confused:

I tell you what - why don't we all slag each other off Goodtime. I wonder where that would get us all - as opposed to trying to be civilised human beings and using some moderation in our language. It is a Forum, we are entitled to express our opinions - in a civil manner.

Suzuki X-90 is worthy of top spot, just above Fiat Multipla, which in turn is marginally more offensive on the eye than the BMW-X series, which are just as ugly but so much more expensive than the whole raft of tall boxy wardrobes on wheels that are in the Wagon R type of thing family. Fifth place is a close call between many horrendous styling excersises. BMW half series just gets it I reckon.

How about a poll of what cars are not ugly? I think few cars of the moment could be described as pretty. BMW are now minging, and my Fabia looks like a 10 pinter from some angles. The stupid small car high bonnet look caused by the euro regs is awful. If people are pi$$ed and walk out in the road that's their fault, no need to make cars look ugly to save them.

But for uglyness, I'd have:

1) Roomster

2) Anything by Ssangyong (however that's spelt...)

3) Multipla

4) All current BMW's.

5) New S-class Mercedes.

And in a category all of it's own, the seats of the fabia vRS.

It's more of a "cars I don't like" site than anything put together with any logic behind it. They have the 105E Anglia in there too. What they don't seem to have thought about is how cars looked in their own context along with the other stuff that was around at the time.

Citroen DS still looks classy more than 50 years after its introduction.

Thats what I thought too, there are only a few cars featured that are mentioned in this thread and seems to have a bias against older cars.

Theres nowt wrong with a DS , or indeed an Anglia (especially with a Lotus twink in it , running on minilites...mmmm)

There's a cracking bit in Jim Clark's autobiography where he is lent an Anglia for the weekend by Colin Chapman and accepts somewhat reluctantly. Half way back up the M1 he has to stop to look under the bonnet of this rather uncharacteristically lively Anglia ...

They should have done an official Lotus Anglia!
